This is a design submitted to The Wildlife Society for their 2016 conference to be held in Raleigh, NC. This design was selected by a panel of judges as one of four finalists, but was not selected as the final logo for the conference. It depicts a red-cheeked salamander (Plethodon jordani, a North Carolina native listed as being "Near Threatened" in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species).
