Sandhill Crane

This sandhill crane was drawn using multiple photographs as well as taxidermied specimens from the Bell Museum of Natural History for reference.  I sketched in pencil, then finalized in ink on 18" x 24" drawing paper.  

I used a 005 Pigma Micron pen for the fine detail of the feathers, and watercolor pencils for the final shading and color.
